Assyst wins contract from State Retirement Agency of Maryland (SRAM) to design and implement enhancements to software applications as part of the State's Systems Enhancements Support (SES) program. The program is designed to address the significant backlog of enhancement requirements and additional requirements that arise from ongoing program changes and the need for improved operating efficiency and control.

SRAM administers the State Retirement and Pension System of Maryland, performing active payroll and retirement / pension processing for approximately 300,000 active members and disbursing approximately 100,000 payments every month to retirees and beneficiaries. The system is one of the most complex retirement systems in the country.

SRAM manages 38 separate retirement and pension programs. The provisions of these programs frequently permit transfers among the programs to support the membership and the citizens of the State. Consequently, the mission-related application systems that support the Agency are commensurately complex. As part of this assignment, Assyst will be responsible for performing requirement analysis, design, development, integration and testing, and implementation with respect to each enhancement task order.
