Ancillary Services

ASSYST provides ancillary support of the integrated IT solution. The ancillary support includes activities such as advanced research and development, custom application development, data entry, training, subject matter expertise, server racks, mounts, and similar items, and construction, alteration, and repair in various technology areas. Areas where ASSYST provides ancillary services include the following:


Wireless Technology – These services include telecommunications, wireless and satellite products and services. ASSYST’s expertise includes developing applications using WAP and enabling access to the Internet using HTTP from a mobile phone, PDA and other mobile devices. ASSYST helps Federal agencies extend their enterprise to the mobile workforce by utilizing WAP, WML and HTTP technology. These services include wireless applications that extend email to the mobile device, providing upload and down load capability, location tracking, improved in transit visibility, and security.

Social Networking Technology – These services focus on building online communities of people who share interests and/or activities. ASSYST’s expertise includes developing new ways to communicate, collaborate and share information using Web technology. ASSYST is developing new applications that allow Federal agencies to scale or add functionality and services real-time and on demand. ASSYST is involved in developing solutions for government that exploit newer technology areas such as SOA, Web Services, and Web 2.0. ASSYST is developing templates to better define our SOA projects, developing services for better user interaction and using technology and techniques such as AJAX, DHTML, Flash or JAVA API with WSRP to better support more complex use cases, and better addresses interoperability. Some of the newer technologies used by ASSYST are based on common standards and include eXtensible Markup Language (XML), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI), Web Services Description Language (WSDL), and Representational State Transfer (REST).

ASSYST has expertise in commercial and industry solutions that have potential applicability in the Federal sector. Areas of continuous investment include Social Networking, Collaboration, SOA, Web Services and Web 2.0. Areas of expertise include Refactoring, RSS, Mashups, Google Search and Wikis. Our services help to prevent errors in medical records, increase administrative efficiencies, decrease paperwork, and improve interoperability across the healthcare system. ASSYST’s Health Information Technology Services provide for Electronic Health Records (EHR) processing, secure electronic transfer of health record information, and healthcare value related cost analysis based on complex healthcare care coverage and various health related service scenarios. Green Computing – ASSYST’s Green Computing is exploring new ways to better utilize resources and technology to minimize the impact to the environment, enhance end-user experience, contribute to meeting regulatory compliance, participate in the disposal of electronic waste, promote telecommuting, virtualization of server resources, conserving energy use, developing thin client solutions, and participating in the economic activity and expansion of Green Computing.
