Assyst, Northern Virginia – June 2009: The last week of May witnessed the unveiling of a new Case Management System that Assyst built for the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office. The System centralizes the County’s court cases, allowing State's Attorney employees to access case files, interact with each other and review police reports. The System which was designed and built using SharePoint, will not only bring substantial savings in the long run, but will also enable more effective prosecution of crime.

Speaking on the occasion, the County’s State’s Attorney Charlie Smith acknowledged the work done by Assyst, and specifically mentioned his appreciation of the effort put in by Sileshi Gedefaw and Tim Porter. Frederick County’s Director of IT, Dale Spangenberg spoke about the importance of the initiative, and expressed his appreciation of Assyst’s contribution to the project. NBC covered the function and aired it on the 5:00 o’clock news hour program your4state.com/content/fulltext/. You can also view the full program at County's media server.

This accomplishment highlights Assyst’s expertise on the Microsoft platform and the solutions that the Company can provide using SharePoint. The project is another strong example of Assyst’s continued progress in designing, developing and implementing Judicial systems. The experience also strengthens Assyst’s partnership with Microsoft and provides a good example of how Microsoft products when implemented correctly provide real returns to State and Local governments.
