Assyst analyzes IT security events for malicious activity for the Federal Government, State, County and City Governments, Institutions involved in International Banking and Finance, and the Intelligence sector. They deliver real-time security monitoring and analysis across security technologies or critical infrastructures such as firewalls, network intrusion prevention, detection systems, and servers. Assyst correlates information from security devices to provide substance and context needed to eliminate false positives, responding to true threats against client organizations. Assyst improves the effectiveness of security infrastructures by actively analyzing device logs and alerts in real-time.
Assyst implements and maintains various classified and unclassified communication systems for clients, proving Assyst’s efficiency to maintain communications using such media as Video Tele Conferencing (VTC), Operator Web Portals, and Incident Responder Web Portals.
Intrusion Detection System (IDS) rule sets play a pivotal role in global IT security. Assyst provides IT security for clients by applying these rules to detect intrusions and threats such as network attacks against vulnerable services, data driven attacks on applications, host based attacks, and malwares (viruses, Trojan horses, and worms). Assyst implements IDS rule sets for systems such as NIDS, HIDS, Signature Based IDS, Anomaly Based IDS, Passive IDS, and Reactive IDS providing clients early detection of all potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Assyst provides Cyber Security and infrastructure management services and solutions to one of the world’s largest food services providers, and enterprise infrastructure and applications management to the domestic and global operations to develop service- and operation-level agreements, compliance reporting standards and templates; implements and administers computer security incident response solution; and implements policies and procedures for software and hardware vendors. Assyst also performs disaster recovery, continuity of operations, contingency planning, and fail-over procedures; implements public and private key infrastructure; performs security certification and accreditation (C&A) of enterprise applications; assesses system vulnerabilities and carries out risk analysis.
Assyst provides Cyber Security services and solutions while functioning as the infrastructure management team for the technology departments for State and Local Government. Assyst is responsible for systems operations, Data Center management, network operations, and management of the County’s emergency management system infrastructure used for public safety. Assyst monitors, reports, responds to, and assesses incidents across systems and communications mediums—including first responders—while working with the County’s Information Security Officer to implement policies and procedures for enterprise systems. Assyst supports the State’s Data Security Administration Manager and performs procedures to ensure the safety of the State’s information system assets. Assyst protects systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction, and ensures the user community understands and adheres to security procedures, and evaluates the security level to weigh business needs against security concerns and articulates these issues to management.
Assyst provides services for the enterprise infrastructure supporting the Army’s business administration systems used for financial accounting and human capital management including: Data Strategy, Enterprise Information Management (EIM), and SOA. These initiatives examine better ways to use the Army’s Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) securely linking various CONUS and OCONUS applications used to manage personnel records. Assyst works closely with the Army to review and recommend security controls based on SP-800-53, SP 800-37, SP 800-39, and FISMA. Assyst supports network information security and personnel records information systems through annual testing and evaluation of information security policies. Assyst works with other ESB team members to implement, evaluate, and document deficiencies in the information security policies, procedures, and practices; and develops procedures for detecting, reporting, and responding to security incidents. Assyst’s cyber security specialists develop plans and procedures for the Army’ human capital management activities, and the personnel community’s continuity of operations for information systems. Cyber security activities include common security controls, baseline, and implementation of policies and procedures. Assyst also incorporates a risk management framework and analyzes the physical and operational framework, implementing policies for public and private key infrastructure, and setting-up the process for authenticating, verifying and authorizing access to ESB.
Assyst is the vendor supporting the world’s largest international education and training organization to produce DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) scorecard for the National Security Education Program-sponsored information systems.
