Advanced Software Systems, Incorporated (Assyst), was incorporated in June 1993 as a C Corporation in the state of Virginia. The company was formed to provide organizations with a partner that could cater to all their information technology needs, as well as to provide associates with a passion for information technology, a place where they could meet their intellectual and professional aspirations.

The company initially focused on providing Professional Consulting in the Mainframe, ERP, Client/Server and Database and Web technologies to the commercial sector across North America.  It leveraged its success in the commercial space in the late 90s to build a significant client base in the Government sector, providing IT Solutions to Federal, State and Local sectors in the metropolitan DC area.

Recognizing the need for expanding operations globally, Assyst established a global Center of Excellence in South Asia, with the necessary infrastructure to provide Information Technology Services to customers.

This provides Assyst the two most important sources for growth in the IT service industry: a technical resource pool that can be scaled quickly as required; and a robust telecommunication infrastructure for communicating worldwide. Assyst provides a host of services round the clock including managing infrastructure, databases, custom applications and commercial applications for its clients.
