A win for ASSYST! HRSA awards $100 Million BPA.

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has awarded a 5-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Independent Testing, Verification, and Validation (ITV&V) Services with an estimated value of not exceeding $100M throughout the life of the BPA. ASSYST is delighted to renew our partnership with HRSA and the opportunity to support Agency’s mission to improve health and achieve health equity through access to quality services, a skilled health workforce, and innovative programs. ASSYST is looking forward to continuing to enhance the test harness framework with the objective of fully automating the testing process.

“With government agencies setting priorities for Workforce Development and Customer Experience, the ASSYST team is ready to create defect-free digital products that deliver frictionless services at the speed of business,” according to Khalil Zebdi, Executive Vice President.

Under the BPA, ASSYST will support HRSA’s programs, IT systems, and sub-systems that require ITV&V services. As the world’s leading public health agency, HRSA manages 100 plus programs and awards more than $12 billion in Federal grants annually to approximately 6,000 partner organizations. ASSYST will provide services based on an enterprise test automation framework, provide verification and validation (V&V) services, adopt microservices based cloud-native software development and deployment techniques, and use AI/ML, RPA, and other low code technologies to predict defects, thereby enabling the agency to adopt data-driven approach to secure product development.

    Hephaestus for Health Data Interoperability

Hephaestus is ASSYST's most recent innovation to come out of our Green Accelerator Program, designed, developed, and implemented for Healthcare Providers, Government Health Agencies, Health IT Companies, and Health Insurance Companies. Hephaestus is an eloquent, lightweight, low-code application platform that provides customers with the component architecture required to implement the FHIR® specification. Hephaestus provides the path for rapid adoption, migration, and implementation of the HL7® FHIR® specification using modern approaches and advanced technology. Hephaestus is an application Platform as a Service (aPaaS) solution built using open technology and optimized in the Cloud architecture. Hephaestus aPaaS is developed and implemented in a distributed cloud architecture and deployed either On-Premise or in a Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (HCI). Our solution accelerates the adoption and implementation of the HL7® FHIR® standard by automating the metadata exploration, data mapping, parsing, API integration, monitoring and analysis, and secure transmission processes. Hephaestus aPaaS provides customers with the capability to create secure API services for accessing and exchanging healthcare information. In addition, Hephaestus aPaaS provides customers with a zero trust API that protects health information at the communication and data layer. The metadata explorer, mapper, and parsing engine automate the schema generation, data formatting, and validation processes. Our AI/ML driven dataset aggregation feature generates FHIR® compliant datasets and reports consumable by the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or other BI platforms.

As the healthcare industry adopts and implements the FHIR® specification, healthcare technology partners can use our Hephaestus platform to help providers, agencies, and health insurers accomplish the compliance requirements and target milestones. Hephaestus aPaaS was designed and developed utilizing the FHIR® specification and resources, specifically to meet key implementation requirements for CMS Interoperability and Patient Access final rule (CMS-9115-F). ASSYST offers Hephaestus to customers for establishing FHIR® API services and gateways, performing API configuration, and implementation, building USCDI-compliant FHIR® profiles, and exploring, mapping, and parsing FHIR® compliant data.

Hephaestus supports several use cases, including FHIR® Server Sandbox, FHIR® Architecture for Compliance Requirements, FHIR® based APIs and Data Access, Real World Data Sharing, Quality Measurement, Reporting, Health Data Catalog, and Collaborative Data Analytics.

"Widespread adoption of healthcare data interoperability will significantly impact the health and wellness of everyone, and recent events have accelerated the need to improve how we exchange health information. So I'm telling customers that before you treat FHIR® compliance as some maintenance requirement in a legacy system, take a good look at our Hephaestus solution because you'll quickly realize there is an opportunity to modernize your approach and technology", Joe Anderson, Chief Operating Officer, ASSYST.

ASSYST is delighted to announce our win with the Arkansas Army National Guard (ARANG), Environmental Branch, to deliver RecAccess, a web-based outdoor recreation management tool. The award was made via the Army ITES-3S IDIQ Contract vehicle, a source for purchasing a full range of CONUS and OCONUS services and solutions.

The ARANG’s Environmental Branch staff sought to streamline services related to the Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center (FCJMTC) Outdoor Recreation Program. The web portal gives ARANG the ability to upload detailed and timely facility information, manage recreation activities, issue permits to the public for hunting, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities on the 44,000-acre wildlife management area. In addition, the tool digitizes many of the paper-based, time-consuming processes for this organization; and allows the public greater ease of access to enjoying nature.

ASSYST has an exemplary record in providing technology solutions to support Green initiatives. We implement knowledge platforms, toolkits, budgeting, project tracking systems, investment management tools, compliance reporting, evidence and policy management, monitoring and evaluation, and data analytics. Specifically, we support programs including Environmental, Social Governance (ESG), Environmental Management, Climate Change, Climate Finance, Sustainable Energy, Sustainable Transportation, Land and Management, Water Management, and Waste Management.
