    ASSYST, Northern Virginia – May 2009: ASSYST is awarded a four (4) year contract with NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC).  NITAAC operates and provides services that can be performed more advantageously to meet the acquisition requirements of NIH, DHHS, and other Federal Government agencies.

     

    As a result of this award, ASSYST will work with NITAAC to develop enterprise architecture standards and policies, implement IT governance, and establish an ITIL framework for service delivery for NITAAC. ASSYST will design and develop software applications for NITAAC using Microsoft technology, and work to develop solutions in Web 2.0. Some of the services that ASSYST will provide under this contract include project management, quality assurance, and continuity of operations planning. Other services include IT assessments, configuration management, Web application development, system enhancements, and operations and maintenance.

    ASSYST, Northern Virginia – April 2009: ASSYST’s has been recommended for placement on the Qualified Vendor List to augment project teams for Information Technology Services for the County of San Bernardino, California, for an initial period of three years.  San Bernardino encompasses 20,106 square miles and is the largest county in continental United States.  It borders Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, Inyo and Kern Counties as well as the States of Arizona and Nevada.  This contract will allow ASSYST to respond to individual County task orders to provide programming, database design, and project management professional services in addition to LAN, desktop and network server support in order to help the County meet information technology workload requirements.

    ASSYST, Northern Virginia – Jan 2009: ASSYST wins contract from State Retirement Agency of Maryland (SRAM) to design and implement enhancements to software applications as part of the State's Systems Enhancements Support (SES) program. The program is designed to address the significant backlog of enhancement requirements and additional requirements that arise from ongoing program changes and the need for improved operating efficiency and control.

     

    SRAM administers the State Retirement and Pension System of Maryland, performing active payroll and retirement / pension processing for approximately 300,000 active members and disbursing approximately 100,000 payments every month to retirees and beneficiaries. The system is one of the most complex retirement systems in the country.

     

    SRAM manages 38 separate retirement and pension programs. The provisions of these programs frequently permit transfers among the programs to support the membership and the citizens of the State.  Consequently, the mission-related application systems that support the Agency are commensurately complex. As part of this assignment, ASSYST will be responsible for performing requirement analysis, design, development, integration and testing, and implementation with respect to each enhancement task order.

    Development of stored procedures, triggers, functions and security schemes as are required for the business and workflows at the County

    Database reports development using County-supported reporting tools

    Data modeling support for interfacing with various applications and databases

    Database optimization and performance tuning

    Suggestions and recommendations relating to latest trends pertaining to Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases and related technologies

    Maintenance of database inventory including maintenance of logs and schedules for renewal of database vendor’s maintenance contract

    Integration of multiple database management systems within the County and extraction and interface formatting of data stored in various database management systems

    Maintaining clear vision and in-depth knowledge of the County’s business application data structures, stored procedures and reports to include tidemark permit plan and performance.

Currently EEO does not have an automated system to produce the mandatory regulatory reports, track EEO complaints or monitor the overall EEO program. The present processes is manual and there is a need to streamline and automate the process.

    ASSYST will work closely with the EEO Department while carrying out various tasks of the assignment, which include validation and confirmation of the as-is business process, conceptualization of the to-be business process, requirements gathering and analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions

    ASSYST, Northern Virginia – Aug 2008:   ASSYST wins a contract from Amtrak to provide business analysis and requirements management services for the development of a web-based system that will enhance the performance of its Marketing and Product Management (M&PM) Department, and help reduce operational costs, increase customer base and drive additional revenues.

    The main objectives of the proposed Customer Service Performance Metrics Information (CSPMI) system are: a) to identify business process improvement opportunities and implement solutions enabling the management to take quick and actionable measures; b) to maintain a database pertaining to customer service quality assurance; and c) to provide a performance dashboard with metrics, reports, graphs and tables that are easy to interpret and offer drill down features.

    As part of the assignment ASSYST will provide such services as business process and data modeling; analyzing business needs and documenting detailed business, functional, and technical requirements; developing and documenting test plans and coordinating with users to perform testing of the application.

The solution would enable communication and collaboration between these departments for better information sharing and to improve resource efficiency.

    The proposed solution will be built using Microsoft MOS 2007. This involves building extensive collaborative and workflow capabilities that will reduce redundancies and data errors and provide a unified and integrated access to information to business users.

    ASSYST, Northern Virginia – July 2008: ASSYST wins task order from the State of Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) to design, develop and implement new .NET applications and enhance those currently running at the new division that was formed when DLI absorbed five construction codes and licensing units. This is part of the enterprise-wide Drive to Excellence, that DLI has embarked upon in an effort to improve the technology infrastructure subsequent to this consolidation that took place three years ago. DLI has initiated the process of integrating business processes and has created and enhanced technology systems to support the new division.

    As part of the assignment, ASSYST will review the current DLI technical environment; report defective application issues and design solutions to overcome the defects; create .NET applications which support CCLD and WCD customers; create applications that interface with the Department’s Informix and Access databases; test the applications and enhancements and devise roll-out plans; prepare detailed documentation for all new applications developed; adhere to all methodologies and standards as currently practiced by DLI; and report all major issues to state project managers.
